Notes:
Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ADV34QR) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Advent Air 15,000 BTU Black low profile RV air conditioner with the R32 refrigerant. Now this air conditioner is going to give you 15,000 BTU of cooling power that's going to be suitable for your large fifth wheels, class A motor homes covering 300 plus square feet. This sleek low profile design is not only going to enhance the look of your RV, but it's also going to ensure efficient cooling without the bulk. So this is gonna be perfect if you love a streamlined stylish exterior while maintaining that ultimate comfort inside.
Let's go over some measurements. Looking at the overall length from end to end, we're sitting pretty close to 31 and 3/16 inches long. Looking at the overall width, we're sitting right at 24 and 7/8 inches. And then the height, again, this is low profile, so it's going to be a little bit shorter than your standard profile ACs. This is right at about 10 and 1/8 inches tall.
Unit itself weighs slightly under 70 pounds. This is going to fit roofs from two and a half inches to five inches thick and an opening size of 14 and a quarter inches long by 14 and a quarter inches wide. Now to fully complete the installation, this AC does need to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat. This is not going to be backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier due to the new R32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulation. So whether your system is ducted or ductless, this flexible AC is going to be able to integrate with them both, and you'll just have to choose the air distribution box that's gonna work best for your particular setup in your RV or camper.
So one of the unsung heroes of a comfortable RV trip is a quiet environment and Advent Air's condensation dispersion system does play a crucial role in that by managing moisture efficiently. This system is going to minimize water runoff that's gonna reduce potential noise outside of your vehicle. So this means more peaceful parking at campgrounds and serene travels down the highway letting you focus on your journey. This does have a durable black hard plastic cover that's going to shield those internal components from water and debris, that's gonna help ensure that your system remains in top condition no matter where your adventures take you. Notice we do have these screws here that secure the cover.
They're Phillips head screws, so if you ever need to do any cleaning or anything like that, you can easily remove those screws so you can remove the cover and it's gonna be very easy to do. This AC does also feature a thick collapsible gasket with noise reducing foam pads, and you can see one of those foam pads here. All that's gonna work to together to ensure that this fits snugly into your RV roof. It's gonna provide the support and sealing the opening to prevent leaks, and then you might have some minor adjustments here or there depending on your RV setup. But those thoughtful design elements are gonna make the process all the more smoother and easier ensuring that your AC is ready to deliver comfort on your travels. I just wanted to pull this out here to show you the the wiring harness, the plug there. Now you are going to be able to extend the comfortable use of this AC unit with a item such as an electric heat strip. And in case you don't know, that heat strip is gonna be perfect for those mild nights or those crisp mornings. It's gonna add versatility to this unit, especially if you enjoy living in your RV year round. That heat strip is just gonna be enough to take the chill out of the air. And so that's something that's available to you for a separate purchase along with a start capacitor that's gonna help give you improved support making your RV adventures all the more enjoyable. So if you are interested in those items, you can just take those item numbers that you see there on your screen, pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that item, and you can add that to your order if you desire. One other thing I wanted to mention, this is obviously in black, but we do also have this exact same unit in white. So if white would go better with your setup, I'm also including the item number there. Now we do have complete kits available with air distribution boxes and thermostats, and you can find those complete kits here at etrailer.com since this is just for this unit itself. So if you happen to have any other additional questions that I didn't cover with you today, don't hesitate to reach back out to us.
